KMI conquers the 3 peaks

The KMI team returning after Snowdon

This year KMI entered a team in the COINS Foundation 3 Peaks Challenge. The Challenge is an exclusive walking event which took place over the 12 and 13 May in which teams from the construction industry climbed the three highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales over a 24 hour period. The event started at Ben Nevis in Scotland then continued on to Scafell Pike in the Lake District and ended at Snowdon in North Wales.

KMI’s team consisted of Jonathan Edwards, Mark Harrison, Danny Oliver and Mark Thomas ably supported by John Barnett, Andrea Harrison and Sudheer Yelugula.

The team did a superb job and came third overall out of a total of nearly forty teams. Most importantly they raised nearly £5000 for the COINS Foundation which aims to support projects which address local issues in a sustainable way. Congratulations to all the team and the support personnel for their tremendous effort. We trust the blisters have healed!
